Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Namay Dentistry is looking for an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant!
Performance Expectations:
- Design and fabricate high-quality aesthetic direct and indirect restorations.
- Perform effective patient communication and accurate patient education.
- Take high-quality diagnostic digital radiographs.
- Exhibit excellent assisting skills in four-handed dentistry.
- Review the patient’s health history and update the necessary information.
- Keep the operatory clean and well organized.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in other areas of work involving Namay Dentistry practices.
- Attend Continuing Education courses as requested.
- Train other team members when necessary.
- Establish trust and care in all patient interactions.
Success Patterns for this position are:
- 1-3 years of EFDA experience.

Dental Hygiene Assistant - Toledo
Performance Expectations:
- Thoroughly disinfect and prepare hygiene operatories.
- Assist with cleaning, sterilization and maintenance of all instruments in the Sterilization Lab.
- Organization and maintenance of the sterilization lab.
- Assist hygienists with periodontal charting and/or any necessary dental charting.
- Consistent awareness of the schedule; assure that the front desk is notifying the hygienists/
assistants of changes in the schedule, inform hygienists of changes in arrival time of patients. - Communication with the doctor when a patient is ready for examination.
- Occasional communication with the hygiene coordinator regarding treatment and/or questions.
Essential Functions:
- Set-up for any impromptu needs of Hygienists during patient treatment, i.e. digital sensor, fluoride,
Cavitron, intra-oral cameras. - Greet and seat patients when necessary.
- Take diagnostic radiographs and high-quality intra-oral photos.
- Keep stock in the Hygiene operatories and the Sterilization Lab.
- If requested, assistance with sealant placement.
- Assemble patient care bags.
